Grab your cocktail shaker to mix some of Bonds' favourite cocktails.
A Classic Martini
You need:
Dry Vermouth
2 ounces gin
Ice cubes
Martini glass
Your choice of garnish
Start by chilling your favourite gin by stirring the gin in a shaker glass full of ice for 15 seconds.
Pour a little bit of dry vermouth in a chilled martini glass and swirl to coat the inside of the glass. Dispose of excess vermouth.
Into ths same martini glass pour the gin and serve with a twist of grapefruit, lemon, an olive or a cocktail onion.
Margarita
You'll need:
Tequila
Cointreau
Lime Juice
Salt
Ice cubes
Hi-ball glass
Start by placing 2 parts Tequila, 1 part cointreau and 2 parts lime juice into a cocktail shaker loaded with ice. Shake hard!
Prepare the cocktail glass by rubbing lime juice all the way around the edge of the glass and then place on a saucer of salt to achieve the salted rim effect.
Pour the contents of the shaker into the high-ball glass tumbler and enjoy.
Mojito
You'll need:
Fresh mint
2-3 tsp caster sugar
1 lime, cut into wedges
Crushed ice
50ml/1¾fl oz Cuban rum
Soda water
Hi-Ball glass
Layer 6 mint leaves in bottom of hi-ball glass and add 4 small spoons of sugar and 4 wedges of cut lime.
Muddle the ingredients and add crushed ice filling half the glass. At this point, add the rum with a touch of soda water.
Swizzel all the glass ingredients with a spoon until all ingredients are mixed then top with more crushed ice. Garnish with mint leaf.
Old Fashion
You'll need:
2 brown sugar cubes
Dash Angostura Bitters
2 oz. Brandy or Whiskey
Garnish with Orange Slices
Start by soaking 2 brown sugar cubes with angostura bitters. Placing 2 orange slices into the base of the tumbler.
Muddle the orange slices and brown sugar together until sugar is broken.
Pour 1 part brandy or whiskey with 3 ice cubes, then stir the tumbler for 5 seconds
Pour a 2nd part of brandy or whiskey with 3 more ice cubes, stir for a further 5-7 seconds
Top with a further 2 ice cubes and garnish with an orange zest
Dark & Stormy
You'll need:
Dark Rum (try a spicy Rum for a kick)
Lime
Ginger Beer
Ice Cubes
No need for a cocktail shaker for this one. Just pour 2 parts of dark rum into a hi-ball glass full of ice. Squeeze two lime wedges into the glass then top with ginger beer. It's a short and simple recipie.
